Veronica is a compassionate and focused therapist who designs personalized treatments for her clients in a comforting and uplifting atmosphere. Using a humanistic approach, Veronica enables clients to make sense of their circumstances, while encouraging them to pursue value and meaning in their lives. Veronica also draws on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to support clients in setting goals and building healthy coping skills.
Veronica is skilled in the use of exposure and response prevention (ERP) and loves to see clients reconnect with their authentic selves beyond obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, and depression. She is experienced in working with trauma survivors, and favors emotionally-focused techniques to help clients overcome the impact of traumatic events. Veronica also enjoys providing therapeutic support to those who are navigating relationship challenges.
A native Virginian, Veronica received her bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia, and her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University. She spends her free time trying to improve her tennis game and hanging out with her chocolate lab, Greg.
We all go through highs and lows in life. My own experience in therapy helped me understand the power of therapy for fostering self-understanding, acceptance, and rectifying past wrongs. As a therapist, I love walking hand in hand with people to make sense of it all.
1. What attracted you to being a psychotherapist?
My goal as a therapist is for clients to lead their own therapy journey. Being emotionally connected with my clients is a priority for me, and I spend time getting to know my clients on a deep level. I also frequently check in to clarify goals, and provide clients with tools and different perspectives to make the best decisions for themselves.

3. What's your favorite quote about mental health?
There are truly no two individuals who are exactly alike, and there is no one size fits all
approach to therapy. Working collaboratively with my clients is always a rewarding and enlightening experience.
