I’ve always loved the Westfield Old Orchard Center. It’s a unique collection of upscale shops, stores and restaurants in a beautiful, relaxing setting. It’s often said to be reminiscent of a small, quaint village. And when I realized that the Skokie area was underserved as far as counseling, I knew that it was the perfect place for our second InnerVoice Counseling location. Not only could a person come to work through whatever challenges they were facing. They could actually look forward to spending some peaceful time to enjoy the surroundings and reflect on the good in the world and in their lives.
Part of life is that everyone goes through a rough patch or two. It may be brought on by the loss of a job. Or a loved one. Or maybe life’s struggles are causing friction in a marriage, where a couple decides they need marriage counseling. Whatever the reason you are seeking help or guidance, we have dedicated counselors here to help you work through your issues without judging or preaching.
With a staff of seven experienced, talented therapists to choose from, we can match you with the therapist who can best meet your needs. With the goal being matching you with a counselor who is a good fit for you, both personality wise and from an experience standpoint. Some of the many issues we can help you work through are personal counseling or personal therapy, for conditions like depression or anger management. We can also help if you need family counseling, have relationship issues or need marriage counseling. And while everyone’s situation is unique, whatever challenges you’re facing right now, there’s a good chance we have helped many persons in a similar situation. And that we can help you too.
There are a number of techniques we can employ to help you work through your situation. Some of these are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Talk Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
We are located in the Westfield Old Orchard Professional Building in Skokie, IL, adjacent to the Old Orchard Center. It’s an easy trip from the northern Chicago suburbs as well as Evanston, Northfield, Morton Grove, Lincolnwood and a number of other nearby communities. There’s even up to two hours of free covered parking for persons, which makes the location even more convenient and worry free.
There’s never a better time than now to start on the road to feeling like your old self again, so take that first step and Call us or Message Us.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
